Commentary on Zachary Lee Miles Truck Accident in Huntington

Something to consider when looking into any commercial truck wreck is that what you see in initial reports is not always the whole story. In fact, I've spoken at length about the dangers of taking such details at face value when they may only be telling one side of the story. The victim here was said to have significant injuries. Do these reports at all reflect their side of the story, or is this all from the truck driver or their employer? Let me explain why I bring that up.

With 30 years of truck wreck experience comes the knowledge that trucking companies get to work immediately to paint themselves in the best light. Whether their driver did something wrong or not, their priority is to minimize or avoid responsibility. Many companies will have representatives actually go out to the scene of the crash to handle questions. I've even seen a company fly their rep to a scene in a helicopter.

This is just one step companies can take to put victims and families at a disadvantage. It's one of the reasons I've looked into crashes with details like these only to find that the preliminary facts are completely misleading. Maybe further investigations would only confirm what's already known here, but any step to get someone the help they need is one worth considering.
