One Killed, Daniel Chavez, 4 Injured in Car Accident on Westmoreland Road in Dallas, TX

UPDATE (November 9, 2022): Sources identified one of the men hurt in the crash as Daniel Chavez, said to be an occupant in a Chevy Silverado which crashed into the Charger after it overturned into northbound lanes. Chavez was said to have incapacitating injuries while two others in the pickup had non-incapacitating injuries. The 27-year-old man said to be driving the Charger was killed in the crash. Two others were seriously injured. No further information is available at this time.

Dallas, TX -- October 9, 2022, one person was killed and three were injured following an accident where a car crashed along Westmoreland.

Initial details indicated that the incident happened at around 11:30 p.m. in the area of Westmoreland Road and Illinois Avenue in the West Oak Cliff area.

Officials said they attempted to pull over a Dodge Charger, but the vehicle allegedly fled. Police say they did not pursue the car. At Westmoreland and Illinois, that vehicle apparently lost control and hit the median, then overturned.

Due to the crash, the driver of the vehicle sustained fatal injuries. Three others involved had unspecified injuries. At this time, the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
