Hector Covarrubias Injured in Rollover Crash near Earl Rudder Freeway in Bryan, TX

Bryan, TX — August 21, 2022, 46-year-old Hector Covarrubias was seriously injured in a single-vehicle accident off Earl Rudder Freeway in Bryan.

Authorities say the incident happened around 8:25 p.m. on the Earl Rudder frontage road near Louis Mikulin Road. Preliminary investigation suggests Covarrubias was driving a Toyota Tacoma northwest on the frontage road when he lost control for unknown reasons. The pickup left the roadway and overturned, then rolled down an embankment and came to rest upright on the highway's southbound shoulder.

Covarrubias suffered incapacitating injuries in the crash and was taken to a hospital.
