Larry Hall, Passenger Injured in Crash with 18-Wheeler on TX-242 in Montgomery County
Montgomery County, TX — September 6, 2022, 59-year-old Larry Hall and his passenger were injured in a crash with an 18-wheeler on Highway 242 in Montgomery County.
Authorities say the incident happened around 4:00 a.m. on Highway 242 near Gleneagle Drive. Preliminary investigation suggests Hall was driving a Lexus RX 350 sedan east on the highway in the right lane. A Freightliner tractor-trailer was also eastbound nearby in the left lane.
Reports say Hall approached a cement truck in the right lane. He told investigators its rear lights were too bright and partly blinded him so he tried to merge left to get away, but the Lexus ran into the back of the Freightliner's trailer.
Hall and his 38-year-old passenger suffered serious injuries in the crash. No other injuries were reported.
