Commentary on Muhammad Amin Accident on I-35 in Kyle
Investigators pinned this accident on the car's driver being distracted and "failing to control speed," but am I the only one noticing that the vehicle went entirely out of control and veered between roads? A distracted driver typically only drifts one direction or another, and while that can have major repercussions it's rare to see a car go so far off-course unless the driver was somehow incapable of stopping it.
That's not to suggest the victim was impaired, but rather to wonder aloud if something out of his control--a medical emergency or a major vehicle malfunction, for example--was missed by police. This unfortunately wouldn't be the first time I've seen a driver blamed for something beyond their control after an accident, so it's important to find evidence confirming exactly what happened. Will police do that, or are they content to blame the seriously-injured victim for getting distracted somehow?
