Commentary on Magali Cabrera Rosales Car Accident in Amarillo

It's not my purpose on this blog to sit around speculating about the cause of a crash like this without evidence. Instead, I want to focus on the young child involved in the crash. Details suggest the child had serious injuries, but it doesn't appear anyone else seriously hurt. Could this be a sign that the child's car seat was defective?

A child this young should almost certainly be in a car seat to ensure their safety. It's possible one wasn't used here, but authorities tend to mention that when there is no car seat. That makes me concerned that the child was properly secured, yet some sort of defect led to the chair failing to protect the child properly. Not only could there be possible actions to get this family the help they need, there could be countless other parents putting their kids into a ticking time bomb. Bringing that to light and getting that product off the streets makes it more than worth further investigations into why this child's injuries were as serious as they're said to be here.
