Commentary on Christi Lynn Hajek Car Accident in Live Oak

Folks tend to think crashes like these are always straight-forward. They certainly can be, but the challenge isn't in what likely happened; it's about ensuring investigators can catch anything unusual. Authorities aren't always able to do that.

For example, there was a crash I discussed with a colleague not long ago where a woman hit a semi while texting and driving. But the speed of the impact was relatively low considering the seriousness of her injuries. Further investigations found that she had a defective airbag, which is a serious manufacturing issue which can put others at risk.

I'm not saying that happened here, but it's important folks understand why someone with my experience never relies solely on the authorities for information. The article below helps to further explain why that is.
