Commentary on Trudy Unruh Truck Accident in Sharon Springs

With a crash like this, it's always important to take information with a grain of salt until there's some certainty that all the facts are clear. As straight-forward as things can seem, there can always be unique challenges to consider.

Trudy Unruh Injured in Truck Accident in Sharon Springs, KS

For example, I recall a crash a while back involving a woman who police accused of running a red light. A tractor-trailer then hit her car, killing her. That's all anyone knew for a while, but more thorough investigations revealed that the truck had been going about 60 MPH on a 40 MPH road. That certainly doesn't excuse someone for running a red light, but that 20 MPH difference can be the difference between life and death.

I can't say I know anything more about this crash than what's already public, but that's exactly why folks should reserve their judgments. There's no telling what more could come to light. Getting folks the help they need means ensuring they're getting all the facts, and I don't see why this crash would be an exception.
