Trucker Injured, 1 Charged in Truck Accident on I-80/94 in Lake County, IN

Lake County, IN -- September 27, 2022, one person was injured and a driver charged due to an accident where two semis crashed on I-80/84,

Officials reported that the crash took place at around 5:00 a.m. along eastbound lanes of I-80/94.

It appears that a tractor-trailer was stationary on the interstate for unclear reasons when a Volvo semi crashed into that semi.

Due to the crash, the driver of the Volvo sustained serious injuries. The other driver, identified as Kennieth O'Conner Jr., was allegedly intoxicated and was said to resist officers on the scene. O'Conner reportedly faces charges for OWI and other violations. No further information is available at this time.
