Williamson County, TX -- September 13, 2022, Travis Cheyenne Stoner was injured after an accident where a motorcycle and a truck collided.

Investigators stated that the crash took place at around 9:00 a.m. along I-35 near mile marker 270.

Officials said that 25-year-old Travis Cheyenne Stoner was on a Harley Davidson traveling southbound on the frontage road. Ahead, it appears an 18-wheeler pulled to the left to make a right turn. Authorities said that the motorcycle may have begun passing on the right when the truck turned, resulting in a collision.

Due to the collision, Stoner sustained incapacitating injuries. At this time, additional details about the crash are unavailable.

The details here certainly should be cleared up a little better, but I can't help worrying some folks have already made up their minds. They tend to see a motorcycle and just assume the driver screwed up. Is that possible here? Certainly, but it's also a concerning sign to see an 18-wheeler making a wide turn like this. That's rarely ever safe, and there should be more consideration for whether or not the motorcyclist really did anything that a reasonably prudent driver wouldn't have done in the same situation.
