Commentary on 18-wheeler Rollover Accident on Highway 65 in Chillicothe

It's not really clear what happened here, but folks are probably content to just blame the truck driver. Frankly, single-vehicle wrecks are usually driver error, but it would be irresponsible to jump to conclusions without thorough investigations. Besides, the cause of the crash itself isn't always the most important factor to look into.

With 18-wheelers in particular, rollovers can be complex due to the fact many manufacturers refuse to build the trucks to withstand what could otherwise be relatively minor rollovers. As a result, the cab crushes far too easily, and drivers that would be fine end up seriously hurt or dead. Could it be something like that happened here? Are authorities even looking into this possibility? If not, the crash may be better off in the hands of more experience and more thorough professionals.
