Three Killed in Truck Accident on Cedar Avenue in Fresno, CA

It appears that a car traveling along Floral may have failed to stop for a stop sign, entering Cedar Avenue lanes. There, a southbound flatbed truck crashed into the car. Both vehicles ran off-road where they then caught fire.

As a result of the crash, three people in the car sustained fatal injuries. At this time, additional details are unavailable.

Commentary on Truck Accident on Cedar Avenue in Fresno

These are obviously concerning details, but it's important folks understand why police reports can come up short with a crash like this. As clear as the facts may seem, there could be other factors authorities aren't used to investigating on their own.

One thing which stands out to me, for example, is the wreckage catching fire. That can happen for any number of reasons in a crash, but one particularly concerning possibility is that the commercial truck's tanks may have been in a dangerous location. Negligent manufacturing can lead to deadly fires where an accident otherwise would have been survivable.

I'm not saying that happened here, but these are the thoughts that come with 30 years of truck wreck experience. If nothing else, it's a good reason to make sure experienced professionals are handling this and getting the victims' loved ones the answers they deserve.
