Commentary on Eddie DeLeon Jr. Rollover Car Accident in Austin

With a crash like this, folks tend to just assume police will cover it all, and that's all there is to it. That can certainly happen, but something to consider is that police are not just crash investigators. They have countless priorities, and depending on the department, officers may not have the luxury of devoting all the time they need to properly investigate even relatively simple crashes.

A crash this chaotic may only prove to be more challenging. Understanding the shortcomings of police investigations on their own can help folks seek out the help they need to ensure they're getting all the facts. I see no reason to think this crash is going to be an exception to that.
