Commentary on Tow Truck Accident on Highway 38 in Reedsport
If everything these reports say here is true, then it may seem pretty open-and-shut. But certain details make me concerned that more thorough investigations will be necessary here. Specifically, the allegation that the tow truck driver had no CDL is a much more complex factor than people may realize.
It's not just about citing a driver engaging in that behavior. It's also important to know if they were employed and why that employer allowed something like that to happen. This is where the barriers surrounding commercial trucking companies become all too clear.
Ensuring folks have the tools to overcome those obstacles can be key to getting them the help they need. Furthermore, it could be key to ensuring no one else is harmed by their negligence in the future. Are those steps being taken here?
