Commentary on Parnetia Clarke Car Accident in Fort Bend County

To be rather blunt, seeing all of those possibilities listed as being under investigation by police makes me seriously skeptical authorities really looked into things here. It comes off less like a driver being egregiously reckless and more like authorities throwing any explanation they can at the wall hoping something sticks.

Now, I would certainly not downplay the seriousness of these possibilities. Police could have evidence for some or even all of these potential factors. There could be something serious that led to this crash such as a local bar over-serving the driver and being liable under dram shop law. But folks are often quick to take initial details at face value. Experience has shown me it's much more prudent to take the details with a grain of salt and to allow the evidence to speak for itself.
