Juan Pineda Ambriz, Sandi Pineda, Richard Meeker, 2 Injured in Car Accident in Bowie County, TX

Bowie County, TX -- August 27, 2022, Juan Pineda Ambriz, Sandi Pineda, Richard Meeker, and two others were injured after a car accident.

Initial details released said that the incident took place at around 7:42 p.m. along US Highway 59 at the intersection of FM 2516.

According to officials, 37-year-old Richard Meeker was in a GMC Sierra traveling southwest on the highway. That vehicle crossed paths and collided with a pickup which was northbound on the highway.

Two people in the pickup, identified as Juan Pineda Ambriz and Sandi Pineda, had injuries. Two children in the vehicle were also hirt. Meeker was said to have injuries, as well.

Currently, the exact cause of the crash has not been confirmed. Failure to yield and alcohol were suggested as possibilities under investigation.
