Commentary on Semi-Truck Accident on North Sierra Highway in Palmdale

Something that always concerns me with commercial vehicle wrecks is whether or not steps are being taken to get all of the facts--to get both sides of the story. Folks would be shocked to see just how quickly trucking companies work to start building their case. Sometimes, that's just due to prudence, considering they're not always going to be the ones at fault--I would never suggest that. But in the event a truck driver does make a mistake, every day investigators aren't looking into things is a day wasted.

This is how victims and families often end up on the wrong end of incredibly imbalanced scales. That's why I take the time to inform people of risks they should at least anticipate. Regardless of what happened here, my hope is that steps are at least being taken to level the playing field. Whether it's closure or holding someone accountable, evidence is likely to be the most important tool going forward here.
