Pedestrian Killed in Semi-Truck Accident on Highway 101 in Goleta, CA

Goleta, CA -- September 1, 2022, one person was killed after an accident where a semi-truck hit them along Highway 101.

Investigators indicated that the crash took place at around 3:00 a.m. along Highway 101 in the area of Turnpike Road.

According to officials, a pedestrian was on the shoulder along southbound lanes. It appears that pedestrian tried to walk toward the center divider when a big rig hit them in the roadway.

Due to the collision, the pedestrian succumbed to fatal injuries. Additional details about the accident are unavailable at this time.
