Commentary on Loose Tire Accident on I-80 in Sarpy County

With a loose tire, the most likely explanation is usually that someone didn't secure the tire properly. Maybe that's what happened here. It's also common for a lack of maintenance to lead to a catastrophic failure. However, one can't rule out a defect without thorough investigations. Likely or not, defects happen, and they need to be addressed as soon as possible--especially if others may be in danger.
