Commentary on Ronald Lee Feye Truck Accident in Mapleton

I'm certainly not here to say I know anything more about this crash than what's already available to the public, but it's important to take any details about a motorcycle wreck with a grain of salt. Quite frankly, a lot of people are quick to blame motorcyclists and this can stand between the victims and getting the answers they deserve.

Not long ago, for example, a family asked us to look into a deadly wreck for which the authorities blamed their loved one, a motorcyclist. The reports said he had been speeding and weaving through traffic, but more thorough investigations revealed this to be completely false. The evidence actually showed the motorcyclist simply passed someone before changing lanes, and it was a truck ahead that cut off the motorcyclist and caused the wreck.

Without those more thorough independent investigations, there's no telling if the family ever would have learned the truth. Unfortunately, this is more common than folks may realize when experienced investigators aren't the ones handling the details. Maybe authorities here are more experienced and don't let bias get in their way, but I certainly wouldn't want to wait around until it's too late to get all the facts.
