Marvin Willey Injured in Crash with Parked Big Rig on US-96 near Buna, TX

Buna, TX — August 29, 2022, 23-year-old Marvin Willey was injured in a collision with a stopped 18-wheeler on U.S. Highway 96 near Buna.

According to reports the incident happened Monday afternoon along northbound US-96. Preliminary investigation suggests Willey was driving north in a Dodge pickup truck when he lost control for unknown reasons. The pickup ran onto the shoulder and hit the back-left corner of a parked Freightliner 18-wheeler's trailer. It then dragged along the side of the trailer before hitting the rear of the semi-tractor.

Willey reportedly received minor injuries and was treated at the scene. The truck driver was unhurt.

The investigation is ongoing. No further information is currently available.
