Commentary on Ricardo Amador Jr. Train Accident in San Antonio

Folks tend to overlook tragedies like this because they assume nothing out of the ordinary happened. But it's always important to be thorough. This sort of thing is not always as straight-forward as folks may think.

Ricardo Amador Jr. Killed in Train Accident in San Antonio, TX

Let me give an example. Years ago, there was incident where a young woman was found after she fell on a set of tracks, and a train hit and killed here. After weeks of investigations, video came to light showing her outside of a bar barely conscious due to her extreme intoxication. While she did the right thing by not driving, she ended up wandering away and passed out, leading to the fatal collision.

What folks likely just assumed was someone being reckless turned out to be a local bar illegally over-serving someone to the point they put their own life in danger. Since those businesses can be liable for that sort of thing under dram shop law, it was a huge detail to uncover.

I certainly have no reason to say that happened here. My point is simply that there could be extenuating circumstances here investigators have yet to look into. If authorities aren't being thorough here, then perhaps getting this man's loved ones the answers they deserve will require more thorough independent investigations.
