Commentary on Matthew Odle, Cardavious Taplin, Shandrea Taylor Car Accident in Nolanville

It's not entirely unusual for authorities not to give a full explanation of what led to a serious crash this soon after it happens. These situations can be a lot more complex than folks realize, and it takes a lot of experience and the right equipment to ensure nothing important slips through the cracks. Unfortunately, it's not always guaranteed that authorities have access to all of that.

I've been telling folks throughout my 30 year career that authorities shouldn't be the sole source of answers after a serious crash. They can do a good job, but sometimes they lack training, tools, manpower, time, funding, or some other important factor which causes them to overlook crucial details. Ensuring independent investigators look into things, as well, helps to ensure that victims and families get the answers they deserve. The sheer devastation surrounding this awful crash likely make it far from the exception.
