David Michael Vaughn Injured in Alleged DWI Accident on Airport Freeway in Hurst, TX

Hurst, TX -- August 26, 2022, one person sustained injuries following an accident where an allegedly drunk driver hit him on Airport Freeway.

Investigators responded to the area of Airport Freeway and Bedford Road at around 2:30 a.m. Friday. According to their reports, a man was along the freeway outside of his car. While there, another driver hit the man. EMS later took that man to a hospital.

The driver involved was said to be 47-year-old Bamwesige Kisuuli. Police allege that he was intoxicated and arrested him. Right now, additional details are unavailable.

At 2:30 a.m., a lot crashes allegedly involving intoxicated drivers turn out to be folks who were illegally over-served by a local bar. When that happens, those bars can be liable under dram shop law for breaking the law and contributing to the victim's injuries.

While authorities typically go to great lengths to see that intoxicated drivers have a court date, steps are rarely taken to confront negligent alcohol providers unless independent investigators call them out.
