Commentary on Daniel Terrell Jr., Willie Washington Jr. Single-Vehicle Accident in Fort Worth

A late night crash like this is going to bring up all kinds of concerns. One common factor, of course, is alcohol. If someone was on their way home from a bar, it could be they were illegally over-served. That means a local establishment could be liable under dram shop law for contributing to this tragic event.

As common as that is, though, there could be other factors to consider. Mechanical issues, road hazards, manufacturing defects, medical conditions, other reckless drivers--common or not, a prudent investigator must consider these possibilities. Are authorities here being thorough, or will this crash need to be in the hands of independent professionals?
