Commentary on Single-Vehicle Accident on TX-62 in Orange

One of the biggest hurdles I encounter in this line of work is people who think a solo accident is easily explained. Investigators mentioned weather might have been involved which in some people's minds means the driver just lost control in the rain. Case closed...right?

That's one possibility and should be considered, but there could easily be more to the story and investigators must evaluate all the possibilities. What if the vehicle malfunctioned, or someone else ran it off the road and then fled the scene? Likely or not, those issues and others also need consideration. It's possible for investigating authorities to overlook them too, which is why it's important for victims and families to be aware of how complex a single-vehicle wreck can really be.
