Commentary on Fatal Truck Accident on I-40 in Forrest City

I'm not too surprised how little information is available about this terrible crash. A chaotic scene like this is going to be as far from simple as it gets. It may be easy enough for folks to just blame this on bad weather, but the reality is it's almost someone's inability to compensate for the weather that caused a deadly crash, rather than the weather itself.

Forrest City, AR Multi 18-wheeler Accident Kills 1 on I-40

Was someone on their phone? Going too fast? Following too closely? Driving with slick tires? Hauling overweight cargo? Quite frankly, if a loved one of mine was involved in a crash like this, I wouldn't simply wait around for the authorities. I'd want to know experienced professionals were looking into the details as soon as possible. With the right experience and equipment, they can help to ensure that even subtle and unusual factors don't fall through the cracks. Are those steps being taken here?
