Man Injured in Truck Rollover Accident at Joe Battle in El Paso, TX

El Paso, TX -- July 5, 2022, one person was injured due to an accident where a truck overturned off Gateway Boulevard East.

Authorities reported that the crash took place at around 2:44 p.m. along Gateway Boulevard East at Joe Battle.

In reports, officials said that a 43-year-old man was in a Kenworth semi-truck traveling eastbound along Gateway East. At the Joe Battle ramp, the truck reportedly ran off the side of the road where it then overturned.

As a result of the crash, the trucker had incapacitating injuries. No others appeared to be involved. Right now, additional details about the crash are unavailable.

Regardless of what caused this crash, there could be other factors that need attention here. Whenever a truck overturns, it's important to determine how serious the crash was compared to how serious it should have been. What do I mean by this?

Put simply, some trucks are manufactured poorly such that they collapse too easily in a rollover. Despite technology being reasonably available to manufacturers to help maintain the structural integrity of the truck's cabin, a lot of manufacturers over the years have simply neglected to make these changes for their own gain. If that's something that led to this driver's serious injuries, isn't that something that needs to be called out so the manufacturer cleans up its act?
