Commentary on Truck Accident on I-35 at FM 1103 in Schertz

With a crash like this, it can be too easy for people to assume they know what's going on. After all, there appear to be plenty of witnesses saying the truck here failed to control speed and hit traffic. How can that happen without the truck driver doing something wrong? While I wouldn't want to speculate, experience tells me there is no doubt a trucking company defense team that began working on that question the minute they got the phone call about the crash.

That's one of the reasons I caution folks that they need to have the allies, evidence, and tools to anticipate potential roadblocks from trucking companies. Otherwise, even a seemingly straight-forward crash can quickly become complicated. For those that need help after a truck wreck, understanding these potential challenges can be a crucial first step to overcoming them. I see no reason why this crash would be an exception.
