Commentary on Raymond Mendock Dump Truck Accident in Saugerties

Folks tend to look at crashes like this is all open-and-shut. The facts seem clear, and authorities even say someone is being held accountable. What more is there to say? Well, maybe nothing, but there can be extenuating circumstances authorities may overlook. Did airbags and seatbelts work properly? Were any mechanical issues involved in the crash? Was someone intoxicated or on their phone? Is this a notoriously dangerous stretch of road? Maybe independent investigations won't reveal anything unusual, but if it did, it certainly wouldn't be the first time.
