Commentary on Dual Truck Accident on Highway 101 in Santa Barbara

It's not clear what happened here exactly, but it's at least encouraging reports only list minor injuries. That said, it's still important to take these crashes seriously just in case those "minor" injuries turn out to be a lot more serious.

Not that long ago, I helped out a man who had reportedly minor injuries after a commercial vehicle wreck. Days later, though, his sore back became crippling pain. Further tests showed that the crash ruptured a disk in his spine. He ultimately needed surgery, not to mention months of dealing with the insurance company to get them to take responsibility.

We got that man the help he needed, but it was an arduous process no one should have to go through alone. So while it's fine to hope the best in these situations, it's better to prepare for the worst just in case.
