Commentary on Rollover Accident on East 4th in Lubbock

When it comes to a single-vehicle wreck like this, folks are often quick to blame the driver. It is common for things like alcohol, fatigue, speeding, or texting and driving to lead to crashes like this. But are those the only factors worth considering? Of course not.

Likely or not, other factors also warrant attention to make sure the victims and families involved are getting the whole story. Imagine the hundreds of families affected by the GM ignition switch defect years ago. If independent investigators hadn't brought that defect to light, who knows if they ever would have learned the truth. That's why it's important folks understand other possible explanations for a crash like this and take steps to ensure they, too, are getting the necessary attention.
