Commentary on Carlos Coronado Truck Accident in Lebanon

When it comes to single vehicle wrecks, folks are quick to assume the driver did something wrong. Maybe they were fatigued or on their phone. Maybe they were speeding. Those are common factors, but it's important to look into even uncommon possibilities. I see too many reports where authorities completely ignore other possibilities, and that can only serve to further harm a family already experiencing unimaginable hardship.

Take mechanical issues, for example. Common or not, they can cause serious wrecks. That could involve a negligent employer or perhaps a defective part from the manufacturer. Both could continue putting lives at risk, so isn't that something that should be brought to light? I certainly think so, and that's why it's important folks understand and anticipate these possibilities.
