Commentary on Laura Wood Accident in Upshur County

After reading about a single-vehicle accident like this one I'm concerned that some will quickly jump to conclusions about how it happened. Folks have a troubling habit of pointing at common driver mistakes like speeding, distraction from a phone, or even DWI just about any time a car crashes. Police mentioned alcohol in their reports too, though aside from the way the wreck happened it's unclear if they have reason to suspect it.

Is it possible this is just another crash caused by one or more of the common factors above? Sure, but that doesn't mean they can be taken for granted. It's important to evaluate every possible factor, including things that are overlooked much too often like vehicle malfunctions or defects. It's a more complicated endeavor than people often realize, and it must be done right to ensure the truth is found and the victim gets the help she deserves. To learn more, click the image below.
