Commentary on Michael Undray Woods Car Accident in Dallas

Something stood out to me in these reports, and I wonder if authorities ever looked into it. They said in reports that there were barrels separating traffic lanes on this stretch of road. However, they said that the cones were "mostly missing." What exactly do they mean by that?

Are they saying they were hit during the crash, or that the construction crew didn't put out enough barrels? Folks may just assume the victim was in the wrong here, but could this be an unusual situation caused by a negligently placed construction zone? It certainly wouldn't be the first time, and investigating these kinds of things can be crucial for getting folks the help they need. Doing so, however, may require more thorough independent investigations.
