Commentary on Dual Truck Accident on I-10 in Chiriaco Summit

There isn't a lot of information about what happened here, and surely further investigations will shed more light on the details. But something that concerns me with crashes like this is the role the fire played in the crash and why that fire occurred. With commercial trucks, there are sometimes survivable accidents which turn fatal due to negligent design of the vehicle causing it to catch fire far too easily. Could it be something like that happened here? At the very least, it's worth an investigation if it means getting a grieving family the answers they deserve.
