Austin, TX Car Accident Injures 3 on Research Boulevard at Burnet

Any crash that comes out of Austin gets me thinking because, quite frankly, I can't help wondering if they involve alcohol. Despite having similar rates of drunk driving to other cities in Texas, the news rarely talks about it. I can't tell you how many times crashes have come to me where police barely said a word, and it turned out someone was highly intoxicated on their way home from a bar. What folks may think is just a simple car accident can easily turn out to be a complex dram shop case involving a local alcohol provider. Maybe that isn't what happened here, but I wouldn't suggest anyone jump to conclusions about this situation until there's been a proper independent investigation.
