Commentary on Marion Schminke Truck Accident in Vinton

Marion Schminke Killed in Truck Accident in Vinton, IA

I certainly can't speculate about what happened here, but it stands out to me that the driver of the truck was apparently the most seriously affected. That's possibly due to the victim's age, but when someone in a larger vehicle has more severe injuries than others involved, it's sometimes a sign something went wrong. Faulty seatbelts, malfunctioning airbags, cars that are poorly designed--even if these factors seem unlikely, it's important a victim's loved ones at least know they're getting the whole story. Are steps being taken here to ensure that happens?
