Commentary on Truck Accident on Frontier Road in Prosper

If the claims in these reports are true, a proper investigation may just show there's more than just a reckless truck driver involved here. It may seem open-and-shut to some--in unlicensed driver in a commercial truck ran a red light. What more is there to discuss? Well, there's another crucial question to answer: How did this driver get behind the wheel of a commercial truck to begin with?

Prosper, TX Truck Accident Injures Woman on Frontier Road

There are a few possibilities here. One is that the driver was licensed and this is somehow a misunderstanding. Another is that the driver is independent, answers to no one, and simply got caught. The more concerning possibilities are, one, that a company knowingly allowed an unlicensed driver to driver for them, or, two, that there's a company so irresponsible they didn't even bother checking to see if the driver had the appropriate qualifications.

The latter two scenarios can obviously lead to a trucking company being on the hook for someone's injuries, but there could be more to it than that. Ensuring they face the appropriate consequences could be a vital step toward preventing anyone else getting hurt due to their negligence. If authorities didn't dig into those possibilities, is the victim here really getting the whole story?
