Commentary on Steven Straight Tractor-trailer Accident in Clifton Springs

It's certainly not my place to speculate about the cause of the crash considering how little information is available right now. Besides, there's something else that stands out to me which I find not enough people talk about. Whenever a truck rolls over, resulting in a fatality, one question always springs to mind: Did the crash really need to be fatal?

There's an unfortunate problem in the trucking industry with the lack of care manufacturers have for the safety of truckers. As a result, many trucks that should be able to withstand a rollover crumple under their own weight due to shoddy manufacturing. As a result, drivers that should be able to make it home to their families end up losing their lives. Could it be something like that happened here?
