Mahamed Kahin Killed in Pedestrian Accident on Mines Rd in Laredo, TX

Laredo, TX — August 5, 2022, 72-year-old Mahamed Kahin was killed in a pedestrian accident on Mines Road in Laredo.

According to reports the incident happened around 11:00 p.m. on the 11900 block of Mines Road. Preliminary investigation suggests Kahin was part of a trucking company and became lost while traveling through the area. He was crossing the street while trying to verify an address when he was hit by a Kia Telluride.

Kahin was pronounced dead at the scene. The Kia drive stopped and called for help; police said she showed no signs of impairment and voluntarily provided a blood specimen for testing.

The investigation is ongoing. No further information is available at this time.
