Commentary on Motorcycle Accident near Slaton

Right now even the basics of this accident are pretty murky, so while I have a feeling some people leapt to blame the "greatest hits" of single-vehicle accidents (operator distraction, fatigue, speeding, etc) it's best to withhold judgment and let investigators do their work. It's still anyone's guess at this point how the motorcycle crashed and the rider was injured, and far too often people blame victims of these crashes for being reckless when there's really more to the story.

Properly investigating a solo accident is more complex than people sometimes think, but it's important to spend the time and effort to learn the whole story--so the truth is known, but also to help the victim get the help he deserves.
