Commentary on Jose Licea Car Accident in Henderson County

When it comes to single vehicle wrecks like this, folks are often quick to blame the driver. It is true this sort of thing is usually due to driver error. Maybe someone was on their cell phone, fatigued, or even over-served by an alcohol provider who can then be held accountable through dram shop law. But time and time again, I stress the importance of looking into even unlikely possibilities to ensure nothing important slips through the cracks.

Mechanical issues, for example, can unexpectedly cause vehicles to lose control. Perhaps a tire blows out due to debris or a defect. There could be something wrong with the roadway itself. At the end of the day, ensuring investigators have the tools and experience to consider these things can be crucial for getting to the bottom of things. That's why I try to spread the word as much as possible about these complex concepts.
