San Antonio Man Injured in Truck Accident on FM 3351 in Kendall County, TX
Kendall County, TX -- February 21, 2022, a San Antonio man was injured due to an accident where a truck overturned off FM 3351.
Investigators reported that the crash took place at around 4:47 a.m. along FM 3351 near Highway 46.
Officials said that a 44-year-old San Antonio man was in a Mack truck traveling northbound along FM 3351. The truck somehow lost control, causing the truck to overturn.
Due to the crash, the truck driver had reportedly incapacitating injuries. No one else appeared to be involved. No further information about the crash is available at this time.

Folks tend to look at truck rollovers as nothing special. The driver was probably fatigued or on their phone, right? Those are common factors, but people need to understand just how complex a commercial truck wreck can be. Not only could there be extenuating circumstances like a negligent employer or mechanical issues, there could even be issues that made what should have been a minor crash far more serious.
For example, trucks that rollover often take a serious amount of damage. But not all trucks have to in every rollover. The technology has existed for some time to lessen the severity of rollovers and protect truckers, but a lot of manufacturers simply don't care. As a result, some drivers who should have been able to walk away from a crash end up in the ICU or worse. Is that something that investigators looked into here? If not, it could be a sign that more thorough investigations are necessary.
