Commentary on Viktoria Lozano Accident in Victoria
Investigators thought alcohol was involved in this crash. Whether they found specific evidence or it's just a strong suspicion is unclear, but if it's really considered a possibility then they should take steps to confirm it. That usually means either drawing blood for testing or getting hospital treatment paperwork. It's unclear if either was done based on preliminary reports, but neither would surprise me.
However, it's important not to fixate on just alcohol simply because it's suspected. The investigation should account for other possible variables too. Did the driver have a medical emergency that incapacitated her? Could her car have blown a tire or had a mechanical failure? Was the road wet or hazardous at that intersection? Those are just a few of many concerns to address to make sure the real story is learned.

I'm not trying to muddy the waters or point fingers here. I don't know any more than what reports currently say. I only mean that it's important to consider all the possible explanations for what happened here instead of simply jumping to any conclusions. If alcohol is found to be involved there may be further concerns about a local business breaking dram shop law, but only after clear evidence is found and the truth established can any other steps be determined.
