Commentary on 18-wheeler Accident on I-5 in Elk Grove
While it's unclear what all happened here, there is some silver lining that injuries may have been minor. I certainly hope that's true. I handled a case not long ago where "minor" injuries turned out to be anything but.

Essentially, two commercial vehicles collided, and one of the drivers had some back pain. He went to the hospital, and they sent him home with little more than a prescription for some Ibuprofen and a heating pad. Well, days later the pain became so excruciating that he could barely move. Further tests revealed the crash ruptured a disk in his spine.
What reports called "minor" turned out to be an injury requiring surgery and months of battling with the insurance company to get the man the help he needed. Fortunately, he sought out professional help, and we were able to get that help. But others aren't always so proactive, and that can cause serious issues. That's why I always encourage folks to consider professional assistance after any commercial truck wreck. It may not be clear just how serious it is until it's too late.
