Commentary on Truck Rollover Accident on US 74 in Mill Spring

If the reports here are accurate, then there may certainly be consequences for the driver that supposedly set all of this into motion. But there are other details which stand out to me here, and I hope they're getting attention from experienced professionals. Put simply, the condition of the truck appears to be incredibly severe. Is that a reasonable result of the crash, or is it a sign that the manufacturer of this truck failed to protect the driver?

There is an all too common issue in the transport industry of manufacturers refusing to make trucks safer for drivers. As such, they're in vehicles which fail to protect them in crashes which otherwise could have been minor or moderate, killing or seriously injuring people that should have been able to walk away more or less fine. It's important to learn about this issue, which is why I do my best to discuss it whenever possible and ensure folks know their rights and know what next steps could be best for them. Will those steps prove wise here, as well?
