Commentary on Rollover Accident on US 281 in San Antonio
While folks may think of crashes like this as straight-forward due to only involving one vehicle, there can be significant challenges to anticipate. Unfortunately, authorities don't always do that. Something I've noticed over several decades is that police simply don't pay attention to things like safety and mechanical defects. That sometimes creates serious issues.

A rollover doesn't always have to be fatal, which is why it's important investigators check whether or not things like seatbelts, airbags, crumple zones, and even seat assemblies function properly. Any one of those failing can take a moderate crash and turn it fatal. But if investigators don't even bother trying to rule it out, how can a family know they're getting the full story?
Whatever led to this crash, steps should always be taken to ensure investigators have the experience and tools to consider even unlikely possible factors. That way, the victim's loved ones can get the answers they deserve.
