Three Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-80 near Aurora, NE

Aurora, NE — August 1, 2022, three people were injured in a multi-vehicle crash near a construction zone on I-80 close to Aurora.

According to reports the incident happened around 1:00 p.m. on I-80 around two miles east of the Aurora exit. Preliminary investigation suggests a pickup truck approached slowed traffic near the construction and the driver failed to control their speed for unknown reasons. The pickup crashed into two passenger vehicles and a tow truck hauling a trailer.

One person involved in the wreck was airlifted to an area hospital. Two others were treated and released at another hospital.

The crash is still under investigation. No further information is currently available.
