Laredo, TX -- July 30, 2022, Roberto Dueñas was killed and others were injured due to an accident where a pickup crashed and overturned.
Investigators reported that the crash took place at around 8:30 p.m. along Highway 359. It appears that 27-year-old Roberto Dueñas was in a pickup traveling on the highway. The vehicle lost control and ran off-road where it then overturned.

To put it simply, Texas has dram shop law which says that an alcohol provider who over-serves an obviously intoxicated person can be liable for damages resulting from that intoxication. Bars, liquor stores, restaurants, and even gas stations have rules to follow. When they break those rules for their own benefit, shouldn't they be held responsible? The fact dram shop can do this while also getting people the help they need makes it a vital tool for all Texans affected by such awful accidents.
